Luma Pictures is seeking an innovative Emerging Technology Pipeline Director to lead our cutting-edge technology initiatives. This role is crucial in integrating emerging technologies such as AI, Machine Learning, and AR/VR into our visual effects pipeline, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of the industry. You will be responsible for driving technological advancements and creating efficient workflows that enhance our creative capabilities.
Job requirements
- Proven expertise in emerging technologies including AI, Machine Learning, AR, and VR
- Hands-on experience with Comfy UI, Unreal Engine, and Universal Scene Description
- Strong background in visual effects and understanding of the VFX pipeline
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Familiarity with industry standard VFX software such as Maya, Houdini & Nuke
- Demonstrated ability to conduct research and rapidly develop proofs of concept for emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with Python and/or other scripting languages commonly used in VFX and real-time environments.
- Knowledge of advanced rendering pipelines including real-time ray tracing.
- Understanding of USD (Universal Scene Description) and its role in modern production workflows.
- Previous experience contributing to open-source projects or internal R&D tools.
