RECRUITING SCAMS
Once again we are seeing an increase in recruitment scams being reported by studios. At a time when many people are looking for new roles unscrupulous fraudsters are constantly looking for ways to hijack your cash or personal data, often creating urgency and excitement around fake job listings.
- Genuine recruiters will NEVER ask for money, bank account or social security / national insurance details up front.
- Beware of contact from free or non-business accounts - Hotmail / Gmail etc.
- Instant job offer with high salary - if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
- Do your due diligence, take time to check into a role / job description and the studio in question.
- Report any suspicious behaviour to the studio in question via official contact / email route.
Thanks for stopping by. Until Next Time!
