Position Overview
The Ad Monetization team at Zynga is looking for a capable Senior Data Analyst to join our team. As Zynga’s Ad business grows, we need to enable our business partners to expertly make decisions based on the vast amounts of data we have at our disposal. This role is essential to build and maintain trust in data. To ensure success in this role, the candidate should exhibit extensive knowledge of data analysis techniques and experience in a similar role.
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in data analysis, data mining, data manipulation, and data visualization. In addition to analytical expertise, the successful candidate will possess excellent client-facing skills. You will work as part of multi-functional technical teams alongside business solutions analysts, data engineers and other team members to deliver impactful data solutions to challenging user and business problems/needs.
Main Responsibilities

Use SQL, Excel, BI Platforms (Tableau, Quicksight), and other analytics tools to analyze data from various sources, internal and external, to identify supported requirements, gaps, anomalies and special circumstances, business rules, and data management needs.

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and governance across multiple data sources and platforms

Play a key role in architecting and advancing the team’s foundational data infrastructure to support scalable insights and operations, even having opportunities to potentially develop small scale workflows to help bridge the gap between processed data and published data to help answer business needs.

Coherently present the results of analysis and findings to various levels of management, ranging from senior leaders to business unit managers and third parties

Leverage sophisticated analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and provide strategic insights that support data-driven decision-making across the organization

Partner with multi-functional teams, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success, to implement data-driven solutions
Desired Skills and Experience

4+ years of experience in data analytics

Proficiency of 4+ years of experience in writing SQL (any variant) code efficiently. Experience with Python or R for data analysis is a plus.

3+ years of experience with Visualization tools like Tableau with ability to visualize data effectively and communicate insights clearly and concisely

Expertise in business intelligence, forecasting, and performance analytics

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate sophisticated data into actionable insights

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
The pay range for this position in San Mateo at the start of employment is expected to be between 98,400 and 145,620 per year.
The pay range for this position in Carlsbad at the start of employment is expected to be between 87,400 and 129,340 per year.
The pay range for this position in Chicago at the start of employment is expected to be between 87,400 and 129,340 per year.

However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
