Rockstar Games is looking for a highly capable and experienced Assistant Online Editor to join our Video Production Department.
This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s NYC headquarters in Downtown Manhattan.
WHAT WE DO
The Video Production Dept creates all trailers and video assets released online, on social media, on broadcast TV and in Cinema.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with ingest, export, media management, and archival of all assets across multiple projects in the Avid Production Management environment.
- Conform, prep, and QC final sequences for online editorial work.
- Work on versioning final assets across multiple territories under the direction of Producers and Editors.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of professional assistant editing experience.
- Fluency in AVID Media Composer and Premiere.
SKILLS
- Experience working within a team environment as part of a larger Video Production pipeline.
- Technical understanding of file-based workflows, frame rates, raster sizes, and file formats.
- Ability to take direction, be detail oriented, and follow existing workflows.
PLUSES
Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
- Familiarity with Online Editing and final delivery.
- Narrative, documentary, trailer, and motion graphics post-production experience.
- Keen interest and knowledge of video games.
- Educational background in film and television.
