Location: Cambridge, UK (remote-friendly within the UK) with occasional travel to the office once per quarter.
As an Anti-Cheating Specialist you'll help protect our Community, Brand, IP, and Revenues from damage, loss, or abuse. Supporting Player Support and the Company as a whole, with in-depth investigations and threat mitigation. Maintain a high level of integrity, accountability, and confidentiality, working with personal and/or sensitive data provided from both internal and external sources.
What you'll be doing:
- Assist in the creation and enforcement of a detailed risk mitigation strategy that protects our IP from all existing and emerging threats. To include but not limited to:
- Private Servers
- Phishing & Hijacking
- Real World Trading
- Hacking communities
- Copyright Threats
- Account and item sales
- Use of third-party cheating aids
- Build a comprehensive understanding of the specific threats faced across multiple products and look for creative solutions to remove or mitigate those threats.
- Highlight and escalate emerging threats to key stakeholders across the business, offering informed advice on possible solutions to protect current and future products.
- Deliver strong performance against allocated KPI’s and SLA’s.
- Reporting and data analysis to track progress against KPI’s and measure ROI, investigate anomalies and present findings.
- Perform detailed investigations of infringing activity and assist in the creation of documents to support legal proceedings where appropriate.
- Support the wider Player Support department and, where necessary, other departments with:
- In-depth account security investigations
- Specialist account investigations
- Reviewing player behaviour to support the moderation of our products
- Developing and, where applicable, delivering ICU specific training
- General ad-hoc investigations
- Assist players needing support across all communication platforms.
- Perform business critical system monitoring.
- Provide input and where applicable direct participation in the development of bespoke, ACT specific, tools and systems.
What we're looking for:
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team with high levels of autonomy.
- Strong understanding of gaming communities and culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication backed up with a proactive approach to knowledge sharing.
- Excellent analytical or investigative skills.
- Familiar with SQL with a desire to learn other languages such as Python or other scripting languages.
- Ability to make fair decisions without personal feelings clouding the correct execution.
