Our client is an innovative 2nd screen game development studio based in Stockholm, creating interactive experiences that connect mobile devices with live broadcasts, events, and social play. Their mission is to build seamless, fun, and accessible games that bring people together across platforms.
We’re looking for a UI/UX Artist with Unity experience to design intuitive interfaces and engaging user journeys that elevate our connected gameplay experiences.
Role Overview
As a UI/UX Artist, you’ll design and implement user interfaces, menus, and interactive elements that connect players across multiple screens. Working closely with designers, developers, and artists, you’ll ensure a smooth, engaging, and visually appealing player experience from onboarding to gameplay.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality UI assets (menus, HUDs, buttons, icons, transitions, animations).
- Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to communicate UX flows.
- Implement UI elements directly in Unity, ensuring functionality across platforms and screen sizes.
- Collaborate with game designers and developers to align UI/UX with core gameplay systems.
- Optimise interfaces for performance and clarity on mobile devices and second-screen applications.
- Conduct user testing and iterate on feedback to refine UI/UX.
- Ensure visual consistency and contribute to the overall art direction of the project.
Requirements
- Proven professional experience as a UI/UX Artist in games or interactive applications.
- Strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX design for mobile, console, or PC games.
- Proficiency with Unity (UI toolkit, prefabs, canvas systems, animation).
- Skilled in design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.).
- Understanding of UX principles, interaction design, and player psychology.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English (Swedish is a plus).
Nice to Have
- Experience designing for 2nd screen applications or companion apps.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and UI animation in Unity or After Effects.
- Familiarity with multiplayer/social game mechanics.
- Experience in usability testing and data-driven design.
- Interest in live events, esports, or broadcast-integrated games.
