The Sales Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting the Direct Ad Sales team efforts to monetize Zynga’s Network of Mobile Games. The Sales Marketing Manager helps brand partners tap into the power of our mobile gaming network, crafting bold stories, strategic campaigns, and custom integrations that connect brands with millions of players in meaningful ways. A mobile marketing expert, this role focuses on creating compelling value propositions and persuasive stories, and requires a deep knowledge of Video, Interactive Ads, Sponsorships, Integrations, and Private Programmatic.
As a key partner to the Zynga Ad Sales team, the Sales Marketing Manager bridges Sales to Game, Product, Insights, Account Management, and Ad Ops teams to develop media packages that are both sellable and executable. From positioning new advertising opportunities and shaping sales strategy to crafting the overarching “why mobile games” narrative for brands, this role brings together insights, innovation, and storytelling to help advertisers thrive within Zynga’s world of play.
The Sales Marketing Manager reports into the Head of Sales Marketing.
Job Responsibilities

Expert in creating and maintaining a variety of sales collateral, including Media Kits, Sponsorship Slides, Private Programmatic Slides, Meeting Deck Support, etc. including positioning and roll out to sales making sure the distribution of information is as up to date as possible

Work in partnership with the game team studios to create custom in game integrations/sponsorship packages for outbound sales teams, and ultimately execution details for AM’s (timelines, specs, approvals, etc.)

Media Planning for RFP support, including collaborating with Sales Planners and AM’s

Collaborate with Research and Measurement teams to support Sales with insights for brands

Communicating opportunities to sales

Service a Global Sales Team through Brainstorms, RFP’s support, Proactive Proposals, and Client Meetings to maximize effectiveness in the market

Work directly with the Sales Planners by providing them pre-sales support

Manage the sales pipeline with the games team so they are always in the know on new and upcoming sales pitches

Assist with the packaging pipeline so sales leadership can identify, sell through and optimize sales efforts

Ensure that all Account Executives are equipped with a value-based selling approach by identifying relevant customer needs and objectives and providing relevant advertising solutions to meet those needs

Command an expert understanding of advertising competitors and their product lines, and knowledge of how to sell against them
Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum of 5 years online marketing experience; media planning, buying, or digital marketing experience is strongly preferred

Strong understanding of mobile advertising ecosystems, including rewarded video, playable ads, and in-game integrations

Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor complex ideas for both creative and analytical audiences

Proven expertise in supporting the development, production and delivery of compelling ad product solutions and packages

A good team player, fast learner and open to changes

Proven ability to work cross-functionally in a matrixed organization

Comfortable in a fast-paced, startup-like environment within a larger organization
The pay range for this position in California and New York at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,200 and $148,320 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
