The Role
The CG Supervisor will be a key leadership position, responsible for overseeing all technical and creative aspects of the CG pipeline for assigned projects. You will work closely with VFX Supervisors, Producers, and department leads to ensure the highest quality of work is delivered on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and motivate the CG team (including modelers, texture artists, lookdev artists, animators, lighters, and FX artists).

Pipeline & Workflow: Define, develop, and maintain efficient CG workflows, ensuring seamless integration between departments and global studios.

Creative & Technical Oversight: Ensure the creative vision of the project is met by providing technical and artistic guidance on all CG assets, shots, and sequences.

Bid & Planning: Collaborate with Production and the VFX Supervisor on bidding, scheduling, and resource planning for the CG department.

Problem Solving: Act as the primary technical point of contact for the CG team, troubleshooting complex issues across all stages of production.

Software Proficiency: Maintain expert-level knowledge of industry-standard software (including Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Renderer Vray )

Additional Plus: Substance, Mari, EmberGen, and tool writing capabilities.
Essential Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years experience in a senior CG role, with at least 2 years as a CG Supervisor on large-scale feature film or episodic projects.

Deep understanding of the entire VFX pipeline, from concept to final render.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Strong technical proficiency in at least one key CG discipline (e.g., Lighting, FX, Generalist).

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks, meet tight deadlines, and maintain composure under pressure.

Eligibility to work in Australia (Sydney-based preference, with remote flexibility considered for exceptional candidates).
