Job Title: VFX Compositor

Main purpose of the role:
An exciting opportunity to join VFX department on a stop frame animated series. The VFX Department consists of the CG animation and VFX/compositing Teams. The primary focus of the Department is to ensure that all VFX and CG integrate seamlessly into the stop-motion style. The Compositor will primarily work directly with the VFX Supervisor and VFX Producer to provide final shots that sit creatively and cohesively within the episode.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• To provide high-end compositing of shots to be considered final.
• To complete shots within the scheduled time.
• To communicate when issues arise that may result in schedule changes being required.
• To work closely with, and assist, the VFX Supervisor and On-set VFX Supervisor.
• To work as part of a team.
• Offer help and guidance to Junior Compositors when appropriate.
• To observe the provisions of the Health & Safety at Work Act.
Person Specification:
• A creative person with first-class Nuke skills
• Experience with Shotgrid
• Experience with Photoshop would be an advantage
• A good understanding of DMP, CG and VFX
• An understanding of the stop-motion animation process
• A strong team player with outstanding communication skills
• Good analytical, time management and problem solving skills
• The ability to work effectively to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high creative standards
• Highly motivated and enthusiastic
• Takes responsibility for work and shows thoroughness and attention to detail
• Is keen to develop in new areas
• Is supportive of other team/dept. members
• Highly creative in both artistic and technical problem solving in a positive and pro-active manner.
