Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot test, build failures to determine the root cause
- Communicate with stakeholders and QA Lead regarding user requirements
- Report bugs, validate their root cause
- Create automated tests
- Follow priorities given by Lead QA to ensure current team-wide goals are met
- Perform gameplay QA responsibilities depending on the requirements and phase of development
- The first line of support for the production team with regard to any technical issues
Requirements
- Prior experience in QA/software development (1-2 years)
- Uses good judgment to estimate the scope, significance and consequences of any bugs
- Can work well as part of a local and international team
- Is rigorous, methodical, independent and resourceful
- Possesses exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English
- Is personable, adaptable and patient
- Resilient and able to think on your feet under pressure
- Being able to adapt to working in a game production pipeline and using a variety of tools
Nice to have
- Experience with scripting (Lua / Python)
- Experience with building/compiling with Microsoft Visual Studio
- Experience with version control/configuration management (Perforce)
- Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
- Experience with modding
- Experience in test automation in a different engine (Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.)
- A passion for transforming written instructions/user requirements into automation test scripts
- Familiarity with the RPG genre and you have played many RPGs extensively and critically
