About

My name is Patricia Palacín, a Nuke Compositing Artist with a background in Telecommunications Engineering and Software Development, and a graduate of Think Tank Training Centre in Vancouver, Canada.
At Think Tank, I gained hands-on experience with NukeX, focusing on 2D and 3D tracking, matte creation, keying, and color grading. Working closely with an ILM Comp Lead mentor, I effectively organized feedback using a detailed Notion page, which guided my progress and ensured professional-quality results. I also developed skills in BorisFX tools like Mocha, Silhouette, and Syntheyes, and experimented with Higx, enhancing my NukeX expertise.
My technical foundation includes working with Unix systems and automating workflows, such as creating a time log tool in Nuke and a Python script for 3D card placement. These experiences showcase my problem-solving skills and ability to streamline processes.
