Hi, I’m Ashwin Sailesh Nair, a Digital Matte Painting and Environment Artist currently pursuing my MA in Digital Effects at Bournemouth University. I have close to two years of industry experience through studios like MPC, Ghost VFX, Phantom FX, and Digital Terrain Productions.
My passion for VFX began after watching Doctor Strange and the original Transformers, but it was Interstellar that truly inspired me to explore storytelling through cinematic environments.
I work across 2D, 2.5D, and 3D matte painting workflows using Photoshop, Nuke, Maya, Houdini, and Substance Painter. I also have hands-on experience with HDRIs, photogrammetry, and projection techniques. I love collaborating with creative teams and thrive in feedback-driven environments always aiming to contribute visuals that support story and mood.
