Job description
The Compositing Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring that the creative and technical goals of a project are met, delivering stunning results that align with the client’s vision. Working closely with the VFX Supervisor, CG Supervisor, and Producer, the Compositing Supervisor leads the 2D team throughout production, maintaining high quality standards and smooth workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand and achieve the creative vision.
- Oversee workflows, pipeline requirements, and toolset needs, ensuring efficiency at every stage.
- Act as the primary creative point of contact for the 2D team, guiding artists and supporting problem-solving.
- Define compositing strategies in alignment with studio pipeline and resources.
- Contribute to project bidding by providing technical breakdowns and realistic budget/resource estimates.
- Work with production to create and maintain schedules, minimizing overtime while meeting deadlines.
- Maintain team morale and ensure clear, open communication across all levels.
- Conduct constructive daily reviews, integrating client and supervisor feedback.
- Provide feedback and mentorship to the compositing team to support their growth and maintain quality standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Compositing Supervisor across multiple high-profile projects.
- Strong creative and technical expertise with deep knowledge of compositing pipelines, tools, and workflows.
- Expert-level skills in Nuke
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team.
- Experience balancing creative vision with operational and budgetary constraints.
- Eligibility to work in the European Union
