Job Description
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator is assigned to a specific department and plays a key role in the organization and successful delivery of the film. Working closely with the Department Supervisor, they help ensure the smooth functioning of the team and timely handoffs to downstream departments.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the department's workflow in collaboration with the Supervisor
Ensure all project production documentation is accurate and up to date
Track shot progress and manage the department’s shot list
Set and monitor artists’ objectives in alignment with Production Management and the Supervisor
Organize and attend dailies/reviews, taking clear and detailed notes for the team
Ensure artists have the necessary information and resources to complete their work on schedule
Flag potential issues (e.g., workload concerns, inventory gaps, team conflicts) to Production Management
Collaborate with production teams from other departments to ensure timely deliveries aligned with schedules and inventory
Anticipate production delays and propose solutions proactively
Contribute to team morale, cohesion, and a positive working environment
Qualifications
Previous experience in production coordination
Familiarity with asset management tools such as ShotGrid
Experience in feature animation is a strong asset
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, especially Excel
Strong leadership and communication skills
Fluency in both English and French
Additional Information
The person in this role will work closely with our Paris studio in a bilingual environment, as well as with international partners, talent, and clients. They will regularly interact with non-French-speaking stakeholders across various productions and strategic communications, in order to present and promote the creative and technical strengths of Mikros Animation on a global scale.
