We're looking for a creative, talented Mid or Senior CFX Artist to join our team working across Episodic, Advertising and Immersive projects. This is a varied field and we are interested in speaking to Creature Artists who have experience using Houdini. A strong commercials background is necessary.

This role is open to candidates who are looking to work in the UK and cannot be supported remotely.
Responsibilities:
Working on all aspects of CFX predominantly using Houdini
The creation of simulation setups for cloth, hair and muscle for creatures using Houdini and additional proprietary tools
Shot execution using simulation setups/rigs and the delivery of finished assets to the Lighting department
Liaison with Creature FX TDs and other departments involved in the creature workflow - Modelling, Rigging, Animation and Lighting
Involvement in the development of departmental tools and techniques
Meeting set schedules and deadlines while maintaining the highest standards
Regularly communicating with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines
Essential Skills:
Previous experience in a similar role
Previous experience on high end CG creature projects
A thorough knowledge of Houdini
Experience liaising with other departments involved in the creature workflow - Modelling, Rigging, Animation and Lighting
Thorough knowledge of your area of creature specialisation and a broad understanding of the other areas
Good problem solving skills
An appreciation of both the aesthetic and technical requirements of the role
A good eye for detail
A strong work ethic, and a willingness to be involved in both development and shot execution
The ability to work as part of a team in a challenging and deadline orientated environment
A good understanding of pipeline and workflow issues
Excellent organisation, communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to liaise across departments
Desirable Skills:
Programming/scripting experience (e.g. VEX,, Python and/or C++)
Experience of developing tools, scripts and plug-ins to help streamline workflow
Experience of working under a Unix/Linux systems environment
Grooming knowledge is a plus
