Who You Are
Barnstorm VFX is seeking a Production Assistant (PA) to join our growing team. The PA role at Barnstorm provides the Production department with daily support, while having an opportunity to learn about the Production and VFX pipeline.
What You’ll Do
- Support the production team in day to day activities as needed, including but not limited to:
- Maintain status reports and update project producer on task progress, flagging issues as they arise
- Attend and participate in production meetings with the supervisors or producers as required
- Routing questions to the correct art (2D/3D/DMP) department
- Take detailed notes in spotting sessions
- Populate tasks from notes or csv
- Export/Import CSVs from shotgrid/flow for manipulation
- Send delivery emails
- Run Status Reports and/or finance reports on request
- File IO Requests
- Assist VFX Coordinators and Producers in arranging client reviews, meetings, etc.
- Provide technical and administrative support to make sure project needs are met
- Liaise with production managers and VFX Coordinators, sometimes across multiple projects, to make sure internal and external deadlines are met
What You Bring
- 1+ years working in a VFX studio environment
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
- Experiece with Shotgrid/Flow preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the company
- Working knowledge of both VFX and post-production pipelines and workflows is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Highly organized
- Able to stay calm and level-headed under the pressure of deadlines and shifting priorities
- A thorough understanding of both feature film and television VFX production pipelines
- An ability to interpret supervisor and client notes

The posted pay range is aligned with what we believe is fair pay at the time of posting this role. An applicant’s relevant education, experience, skills and qualifications, location and currency may all be considered when deciding pay position within the range. Pay ranges may change.
