Position: Pipeline Developer
Location: Remote position. Can be located preferably in Canada and/or Australia
Crafty Apes is a global visual effects company with plans to continue expanding. We recently opened a new location in Australia, alongside our existing USA, Canada and UK locations. Crafty Apes invests in its technological advancements and constantly seeks to improve our pipeline to support all Crafty artists around the world in achieving great visual results. We are looking to add a mid-level Pipeline Developer to our global Pipeline team and are interested in candidates who want to be part of taking Crafty Apes to the next level. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Troubleshoot and problem solve with a customer centric focus.
- Educate and support artists in using the pipeline and its tools.
- Provide documentation and day-to-day support to artists.
- Take ownership of technical issues and work with the pipeline team and artists to find appropriate resolutions.
- Solve problems in the domain of the tools, plug-ins, pipeline, and overall workflow development.
- Assist in the testing and maintaining of new tools or updates to existing tools.
- Implement and document pipeline tools, scripts, and procedures to support the development and deployment of creative productions.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to suggest and implement new technologies or approaches.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience as a Pipeline TD in visual effects or a related industry.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Knowledge of 3D tools, with expertise in Maya (Houdini and Nuke experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Desire to learn and good communication skills.
