Job Description / Key Purpose of the Job:
As a Sweatbox TD, you will work directly with the CG Supervisor and Dept Supervisors, Leads and Production teams to debug shots from blocking animation through final lighting. We are looking for talent with strong technical skills, strong problem solving skills and team players for producing high-end imagery. This opportunity is geared toward talent looking to gain general TD experience on an animated feature film, talent with career aspirations as a TD/artist in our Layout, CFX, FX, Lighting, or Animation departments.
Must Have:
- Experience using 3D software packages such as Maya, Houdini, Katana, RenderMan, etc.
- Strong problem solving skills
- Interest in the production pipeline as a whole with a 'generalist' mindset
- Experience programming in Python
- An understanding of form, texture, physical motion, weight, balance, and lighting
- Understanding of Linux/Unix based operating systems
