FX Artist (Houdini)

DAX is partnering with an International VFX Studio and we’re looking for a skilled FX Artist with advanced Houdini experience to join the VFX team on film, episodic, and cinematics projects.

What You’ll Do

Create high-quality FX using Houdini, including:
Particle and procedural effects
Fluid simulations (fire, smoke, water)
Rigid body destruction
Stylised and realistic magic / energy effects
Build efficient, production-ready setups
Collaborate with CG, Lighting, and Compositing teams

What We’re Looking For

Strong professional experience as an FX Artist
Advanced Houdini skills (essential)
Solid understanding of simulation workflows
Experience rendering FX with Karma, Arnold, and/or Redshift
Strong eye for timing, scale, and motion

Nice to Have

Python scripting experience
HDA tool development
Familiarity with USD workflows
