SUMMARY:
The Story Production Coordinator supports & reports to the Story Associate Production Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and schedule production meetings
- Participate in production meetings, deliver status updates when required, and heavy notetaking
- Check-in with Story Artists to ensure they are hitting deadlines & helping to troubleshoot
- Maintain organized production and artwork files within existing directory structures
- Special projects as needed
- Keep supervisors advised by providing accurate and timely information
- Direct people both internally and externally to the correct department to get the information that is needed
- Organize files that are received so that it is easily retrievable
- Handle requests made by crewmembers, Directors, Department Head and Production Management
- Build trusting and open relationships with artists, production, leadership and other productions
- Be the main source of information for in-house Story Artists. Ensure that they are appropriately managing their time, and planning/pacing themselves properly
- Communicate with the Art Department to ensure Story artists have the latest, approved artwork; likewise communicate to the Art Department any design elements that need to be adjusted or created based on the Supervising Director’s vision and as called out in the Storyboards
- Elevate potential problems or delays to the Associate Production Manager of Story along with ideas on how to course correct
- Work with Sparky - troubleshoot and solve workflow challenges, and refine and improve processes
- Ensure flow of information, notes and assets is clear and on schedule
QUALIFICATIONS:
- An ideal candidate in this role can see the big picture while also having an incredible attention to detail. This person understands downstream dependencies and impacts in a production pipeline, communicates well across all levels of a production, and has impeccable follow-up in closing the loop.
- Previous animation office or production experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of the pre-production and CG feature production pipeline
- Highly organized, resourceful and diligent with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail is critical
- Must have the ability to lead with a positive attitude and encourage collaboration
- Multitask and work well in a fast-paced department. A self-starter with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
- Work independently and set appropriate priorities
- Take direction when needed and also take the initiative where applicable
- Maintain a high level of discretion
- Computer and technology literate – familiarity with Mac/PC operating systems, Google Suite, Final Draft, StoryboardPro, Photoshop, and Sparky a plus
The anticipated base salary for this position is $25/hour to $31/hour. This role may also qualify for incentives and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
