Job Overview
ICON is seeking an experienced Producer to lead animated television productions from concept through final delivery. This role is responsible for driving creative alignment, production strategy, team leadership, and execution excellence across all departments.
The Producer is the central force behind the show, balancing creative ambition with schedule, budget, and operational realities. Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to develop the concept and vision for the animated TV show.
- Create and maintain a production schedule, coordinating the workflow to meet deadlines.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the team throughout the production process.
- Assemble and manage a production team, including animators, storyboard artists, and other departments.
- Ensure compliance with legal and industry standards, including copyright issues and licensing agreements.
- Maintain high production standards and ensure that the creative vision is being realized.
- Review and approve key elements such as storyboards, character designs, and animation sequences.
- Address any issues that may arise during production, including creative differences, technical challenges, or budget constraints.
- Implement solutions to keep the project on track and within budget.
- Supervise the post-production process, including editing, sound design, and finalizing animation sequences.
- Ensure that the final product meets quality standards and is ready for delivery to the client.
- Identify potential risks to the project and implement strategies to mitigate them.
- Stay informed about industry trends and changes that may impact production.
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategies for the animated TV show, including potential future seasons or related projects
- Work closely with Human Resources, Finance, and the President to define recruiting goals to achieve the appropriate balance of qualified talent.
- Monitor production staff attendance and approve production staff requests for time off, working with the production supervisors and Head of Departments.
Qualifications
- Proven experience producing or managing at least one full animated series or multiple seasons of episodic content.
- Demonstrated experience managing and developing high-performing production teams, including supervisors and production staff.
- Experience in onboarding, mentoring, and training new hires to ensure successful integration into established production workflows.
- Comprehensive understanding of 3D animation pipelines, production scheduling, and cross-department workflows.
- Solid knowledge of legal and contractual requirements in television production, including licensing and copyright considerations.
- Experience working directly with clients, broadcasters, or streaming partners.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High-level organizational and strategic planning capabilities.
- Ability to assess production risk and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with industry-standard production tracking tools and scheduling software.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The wage range for this role reflects compensation across all of ICON’s projects. The final salary will be determined based on the specific position, the current show assignment, and the applicant’s experience and portfolio. This range accounts for varying levels of experience and responsibilities.
