Digital Production Managers (DPMs) are pivotal in managing visual effects projects and require a comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of the VFX pipeline. They possess extensive experience in VFX production management, demonstrating strong project management and organizational skills, as well as a proficiency in database systems such as Shotgrid for schedule management. Digital Production Managers exhibit an analytical mindset, relentless attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Excellence in the Digital Production Manager role is the ability to schedule, resource and manage project timelines and deliverables to successfully deliver projects. DPMs collaborate effectively with diverse teams, facilitate clear and open communication and build positive relationships in a productive work environment that operates within budgets to meet client expectations. Success in the role requires strong interpersonal and motivational skills, the ability to anticipate potential issues and the capability to implement effective solutions swiftly.
As an integral part of the production team, Digital Production Managers support the VFX Producer and project supervisors by ensuring that all schedules are met, resource needs are assessed, and potential roadblocks are identified and resolved. With an awareness of project goals and milestones, DPMs prioritize tasks, delegate responsibilities and ensure thorough follow-ups to maintain efficient and effective operations. By providing crucial support and leadership, Digital Production Managers help ensure that all aspects of production run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities - Responsible for the overall scheduling of assets and shots based on project delivery milestones, and managing the coordination of department schedules and workflows to meet internal and external deadlines
- Collaborate with VFX producers, project supervisors, and leads to assess and allocate resources effectively, monitoring crew needs and managing overtime requests to maintain quota and meet project deliverables
- Manage Shotgrid to ensure the project is properly tracked, including shot, task, and version status updates, artist assignments, and accurate note input and distribution
- Monitor the accuracy of team note taking, providing feedback and guidance to enhance quality while ensuring timely follow-ups on notes, prioritization of tasks, and alignment of requests with delivery milestones
- Manage and mentor Associate Production Managers (APMs) and VFX Coordinators, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities, providing training and support, and offering performance feedback and reviews as needed
- Collaborate with project supervisors and leads to set up project pipelines and that all technical and creative workflows are efficient and effective
- Oversee the ingestion, QC and distribution of all incoming deliveries, informing relevant team members to complete related tasks, and scheduling kickoffs to initiate work
- Oversee dailies, reviews and other show meetings, ensuring that all necessary stakeholders are informed and present, and that reviews are run efficiently
- Participate in client meetings and reviews, accurately capturing client notes and entering into Shotgrid, along with corresponding schedule and status updates, for timely distribution to the team
- Flag any potential scope of work changes to the VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor for assessment and potential rebidding
- Manage client deliveries, confirming that all versions are properly packaged, QCed, and uploaded according to client specifications
- Conduct all forms of client communication clearly, concisely and in a professional manner as a representative of Eyeline
Qualifications - Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment by building strong relationships with team members, leading by example, and promoting open communication across all departments
- Provide clear and concise communication to all team members and stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is informed and aligned with project goals and objectives
- Proactively anticipate and resolve issues that arise, communicating and escalating potential risks and solutions to facilitate quick and effective decision-making
- Address and mediate any conflicts that arise within the team, ensuring that issues are resolved in a professional and constructive manner, informing or escalating to the VFX Producer and HR when appropriate
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the ongoing refinement of production management practices and workflows, as well as personal development and growth
- Adapt to changing project requirements, deadlines, and priorities, maintaining a calm and solution-oriented approach in all situations
- Maintain a willingness to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines and ensure successful project delivery

This salary range is specific to applicants applying to our position in Vancouver, BC. To determine your base salary, we consider your qualifications, skills, and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary outside of this range and will also be dependent on your location.
