Job Overview
As a Facilities Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of the studio by helping maintain a clean, organized, and functional working environment. Working closely with the Facilities team, you will assist with routine upkeep, supply management, studio setup, and general logistical support for production needs and studio operations. This role is highly hands-on and ideal for someone who is proactive, reliable, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes in a fast-paced creative environment.
This role will have working hours from 1 pm - 10 pm, Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily studio upkeep, including kitchen areas, common spaces, bathrooms, and general cleanliness standards.
- Assist with garbage and recycling collection and disposal across studio locations.
- Help set up and reset studio spaces for meetings, reviews, and production needs.
- Restock and organize studio supplies, including kitchen items, cleaning supplies, and general office materials.
- Assist with delivery handling, package distribution, and basic mail tasks.
- Support Facilities Coordinators with errands, supply pickups, and off-site runs as needed.
- Help with basic maintenance tasks such as moving furniture, setting up equipment, and installing signage.
- Assist in preparing studio spaces for events, client visits, and internal gatherings.
- Support OT meal coordination and distribution when required.
- Maintain awareness of studio needs and proactively flag issues to the Facilities team.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure shared spaces remain clean, safe, and functional.
- Provide general operational support to ensure smooth day-to-day studio functioning.
Skills and Experience
- Strong work ethic and willingness to take on hands-on operational tasks.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented studio environment.
- Good time management and ability to prioritize tasks as assigned.
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to daily responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, service-oriented attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently when needed.
- Prior experience in facilities support, janitorial services, hospitality, or office assistance is an asset but not required.
- Basic experience using hand and power tools for minor repairs, furniture assembly, or light construction tasks is an asset.
- Comfortable performing physical tasks such as lifting, moving supplies, and being on your feet for extended periods.

The wage range for this role reflects compensation across all of ICON’s projects. The final salary will be determined based on the specific position, the current show assignment, and the applicant’s experience and portfolio. This range accounts for varying levels of experience and responsibilities.
