Job Description
Please note that this role is for our Rodeo Production branch. This is a live-action production role (not related to VFX or 3D animation). Strong experience as a Producer, covering both the technical and creative aspects of video, photo, and experiential productions, is required to meet the expectations of the role.
The role of the Producer is to manage and oversee the technical and creative aspects of video photo & experiential line production projects, ensuring deadlines, client requirements, and budgets are met, while representing the interests of the company, its various departments, clients and the artists it represents.
This person is responsible for planning and implementing a tailored sales strategy for each project, determining talent & resource allocation, selecting the partners responsible for executing the projects, and ensuring the smooth running of shoots and work sessions through to final delivery.
The Producer is accountable for project budgets and margins and must safeguard the financial health of the department in collaboration with other producers, executive producers, and management. They work closely with creatives to explore innovative production approaches while ensuring efficiency across all phases, from pre-production to delivery, including post-production and adaptation for various distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities
Bidding, Project, and Budget Management
- Evaluate briefs and understand objectives: grasp client needs, campaign goals, target audiences, and key messages.
- Develop quotes/budgets and bidding strategies for each project in collaboration with department leads.
- Maintain the creative vision of the company’s video and photo division and its represented artists.
- Project management: establish detailed production timelines and oversee all phases from pre-production to final delivery.
- Team and artist management: provide leadership and guidance to support continuous improvement.
- Foster cross-department collaboration and prioritize/promote the company’s services.
- Ensure final deliverables meet the company’s quality standards.
Operational and Financial Management
- In collaboration with executive producers and management, ensure adherence to project budgets and margins.
- Contribute to the development, continuous improvement, and enforcement of production processes
- Negotiate significant changes with clients.
- Manage relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
Business Development
- Contribute to the strategic development of the department and represented artists.
- Collaborate with management to update and improve production tools.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in advertising, photo, and/or video production.
- University degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- AQTIS and AICCP knowledge.
- Availability to travel internationally.
- Proficiency with digital tools, including G Suite, Mac computers, Microsoft Office, and Dropbox.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and rigor in managing both material and human resources.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proactive, self-sufficient, and resourceful.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
