Job Description
Mikros Animation is seeking talented Animation Artist with a passion for performance, action, and design. In our fast-paced production environment, you’ll collaborate closely with a creative team under the guidance of the Animation Leads to help bring the Director’s vision to life.
We are committed to delivering high-quality animation and memorable performances. Our current project offers a variety of fun and creative challenges in a supportive, team-driven atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Create engaging, feature-quality keyframe animations for assigned shots.
Develop expressive facial animation and solid body mechanics, both realistic and stylized.
Collaborate with Animation Leads and the Director to achieve the intended performance and storytelling.
Work according to production deadlines and deliver animations on schedule.
Participate in daily reviews and animation rounds, actively integrating feedback.
Contribute to shared resources, such as animation libraries and rig improvements.
Qualifications
Professional experience in 3D character animation using Maya on animated feature films or TV series.
Strong understanding of body mechanics and character performance.
Ability to interpret storyboards and respond effectively to Director feedback.
Familiarity with production pipelines and adaptability to custom tools.
Knowledge of ShotGrid (formerly Shotgun) and RV is an advantage.
A good eye for cartoony animation and creative exaggeration, with the confidence to “bend the rules” to serve the story.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Optional Skills
* The person in this role will work closely with our Paris, Montreal and Bengaluru studios in a bilingual environment, as well as with international partners, talent, and clients. They will regularly interact with non-French-speaking stakeholders across various productions and strategic communications, in order to present and promote the creative and technical strengths of Mikros Animation on a global scale.
