VFX Compositor
Location - Hybrid / On-site - Gran Canaria
Contract - Fixed Term / Freelance
The Role
We are looking for an experienced VFX Compositor with strong Nuke skills and practical experience with ComfyUI and AI tools.
You will work with the VFX Supervisor and wider team to deliver high quality shots across film, TV, commercial or other VFX projects.
Responsibilities
- Composite CG and live action elements to a high standard
- Keying, roto, paint, tracking, clean up, projections and colour work
- Build and maintain Nuke scripts and node based workflows
- Use ComfyUI and AI tools for tasks such as clean up, object removal, image generation, inpainting, upscaling and look development
- Integrate AI generated material into shots while maintaining quality and continuity
- Work closely with CG, FX, Lighting, Roto/Paint and Production
- Troubleshoot compositing and AI workflow issues
- Help develop more efficient VFX and AI workflows
- Deliver work to production deadlines
Experience
- Professional experience as a VFX Compositor
- Strong Nuke skills
- Good understanding of CG integration and multi pass compositing
- Experience with ComfyUI and AI image generation workflows
- Knowledge of Stable Diffusion or Flux
- Good understanding of lighting, colour, photography and composition
- Strong eye for detail and photorealism
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable
- Experience with ControlNet, IPAdapter or LoRA
- Python or scripting experience
- Deep compositing
- OCIO colour pipelines
- Photoshop and After Effects
- Blender or Houdini
- Experience working in a Linux based VFX environment
