About us:
The Zynga Business Development team plays a key role in identifying and securing new business opportunities, growing revenue, and expanding the company's reach through strategic partnerships. These external partnerships are focused in four key areas: International Expansion, IP Licensing, Alternative Stores, and Emerging Platforms.
As a part of this team, you will work cross-functionally with studio, legal, marketing, and finance teams through the full lifecycle of deals, from sourcing through post-mortem analysis. This role reports to the Senior Director of Business Development based out of London, UK.
Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Engagement Management: Monitor industry and market trends, competitor activity, and new business development opportunities across IP, alternative stores, and emerging platforms. Maintain and prioritize an active pipeline of leads aligned with Zynga’s portfolio. Conduct initial outreach with leads to identify the accurate point person. Confirm interest and qualify leads before handing them off to relevant internal teams.
Deal Proposal & Structuring: Build tailored presentations to support deal pitches. Build and maintain a library of pitch deck templates to streamline turnaround and support studio/BD collaboration. Develop financial models and cases in collaboration with studios.
Stakeholder Alignment & Contract Negotiations: Support internal alignment on deal terms, scope, and timelines. Lead contract submissions in coordination with the legal team. Respond to contract and legal queries from studios or partners where applicable.
Handover & Performance Monitoring: Serve as the operational point of contact for studios after deals are signed. Track deal performance against KPIs and partnership goals.Coordinate post-deal reviews and gather input from relevant teams.
Research & Competitive Insights: Research, model, and prioritize international market opportunities (e.g., India, LATAM, Japan, China) to support global expansion.Analyze competitor strategies, market movements, top-performing titles, channels, and BD tactics.
Required Skills and Experience:

5+ years of experience in the gaming industry in roles related to Business Development, Corporate Development, Finance, or Marketing.

Shown ability to build and analyze financial models and cases.

Proven project management capabilities with cross-functional teams (legal, marketing, BI, product, and engineering).

Strong communication skills, with the ability to build compelling presentations.

Understanding of the mobile gaming ecosystem: Free-to-play (F2P), in-app purchases (IAP), ads, monetization strategies, cloud and subscription gaming

Experience drafting and managing contracts (preferred).
The pay range for this position in New York, NY, at the start of employment is expected to be between $114,400 and $169,300 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
