Job Description
Mikros Animation is seeking Junior Anim Fix Artists with a passion for performance, action, and strong design sensibilities. In our fast-paced studio environment, you’ll collaborate closely with the Animation Leadership Team to bring the Director’s vision to life. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality animation on a project full of fun and creative challenges.
Responsibilities
Animate compelling performances within assigned shots.
Work from storyboard and layout to create feature-quality, key-framed animation.
Collaborate with Animation Leads and the Director to achieve strong, expressive performances.
Deliver animation work within production deadlines.
Actively participate in dailies and feedback rounds.
Contribute to shared animation assets, including libraries and character rigs.
Qualifications
College diploma (or equivalent) in 3D computer graphics or 3D animation.
Experience in 3D animation using Maya for film or animated TV production.
Solid background in CG character animation; 2D animation and drawing/design skills are an asset.
Strong understanding of storyboards and ability to interpret Director’s feedback effectively.
Ability to work within an established pipeline and quickly adapt to custom tools.
Familiarity with RV and Shotgun is an asset.
A good eye for cartoony, exaggerated animation with a willingness to break animation rules when needed.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Additional Information
The person in this role will work closely with our Paris studio in a bilingual environment, as well as with international partners, talent, and clients. They will regularly interact with non-French-speaking stakeholders across various productions and strategic communications, in order to present and promote the creative and technical strengths of Mikros Animation on a global scale.
