Job Description
Mikros Animation is looking for talented Mid Anim Fix Artist with a passion for performance, action, and strong design sensibilities. Join our fast-paced studio and collaborate closely with the Animation Leadership to bring the Director’s vision to life. Our current project offers exciting creative challenges and opportunities to deliver high-quality animation and memorable performances.
Responsibilities
Create engaging, feature-quality character animation based on storyboards and layouts.
Deliver compelling performances that support storytelling and character personality.
Collaborate closely with Animation Leads and the Director to refine animation.
Meet production deadlines while maintaining a high artistic standard.
Participate actively in dailies, feedback sessions, and rounds.
Contribute to shared animation resources, such as libraries and character rigs.
Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent in 3D computer graphics/animation.
Proven experience in 3D animation using Maya in film or animated TV production.
Strong understanding of body mechanics (realistic and cartoony) and facial animation; 2D animation/drawing skills are a plus.
Ability to interpret storyboards and integrate Director feedback effectively.
Comfortable working within a production pipeline and adapting to custom tools.
Knowledge of RV and Shotgun (or similar review/production tools) is an asset.
Creative sensibility for exaggerated, cartoony animation, including breaking conventional rules when needed.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Additional Information
The person in this role will work closely with our Paris studio in a bilingual environment, as well as with international partners, talent, and clients. They will regularly interact with non-French-speaking stakeholders across various productions and strategic communications, in order to present and promote the creative and technical strengths of Mikros Animation on a global scale.
